MICHAEL CADDEN TROY
Already an established entrepreneur at the age of 18, Michael Cadden Troy made his foray into the shipping industry via a position at Maersk Line in 1981. In just two years, his passion for the industry flourished, and Mr. Troy soon transitioned to work at Trans Senko. It wasn’t long before the Chicago-based NVOCC recognized his natural leadership and logistics skills and tasked him with establishing and heading the company’s New York office.
In a short time, Mr. Troy’s affinity for ocean transportation and his innate entrepreneurial spirit merged to create what is now Troy Container Line. Under his direction, the company has expanded exponentially since its founding in 1984. Mr. Troy’s commitment to providing the ultimate in personalized customer care has resulted in Troy Container Line services that reach every continent across the globe. Today, the company enjoys the distinguished position of being one of the largest NVOCCs in the world.
Mr. Troy believes in giving back and supports a number of philanthropic endeavors both personally and professionally. He is an avid supporter of Lunch Break in Red Bank, N.J. as well as many other community outreach efforts.
