Dive into the Red Sea!

Bordered by Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, The Sudan and Yemen, the Red Sea is one of the world’s most heavily traveled waterways, connecting maritime traffic from Europe to Asia.

The Red Sea contains some of the world’s hottest and saltiest water. Little to no water enters this body of water from rivers or rain and the majority of water that re-infuses the sea is provided by the Bab el-Mandeb Strait from the Gulf of Aden. The water of the Red Sea is an intense blue-green color. Occasionally, however, it is populated by extensive blooms of algae, which upon dying off, turn the sea a reddish brown color, hence its name sake!

Connected to the Mediterranean Sea via the Suez Canal, the Red Sea is linked to the Arabian Sea through the southern region of the Gulf of Aden in the Red Sea.

With services connecting you to Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, The Sudan, Yemen and beyond, Troy Container Line is only a phone call away when shipping to and from the Middle East or Asia.
