Troy Container Line Supports Lunch Break with 7,500 pound Food Donation

Red Bank Shipping Company Supports Local Food Pantry for the Holidays

RED BANK, NJ (Dec. 16, 2013) –   Red Bank-based Troy Container Line, one of the largest, American-owned international shipping lines, today announced the continuation of its holiday gifting tradition with a 7,500-pound food donation to Lunch Break.  For the third consecutive year, the international shipping company will support its local community with a donation to the Red Bank-based nonprofit.  This year’s contribution comes in the form of much-needed food and non-perishable items for Lunch Break’s food pantry.

“Lunch Break has been an important asset to the Red Bank community for three decades.  They have experienced unprecedented demand in recent years, and one of their ongoing challenges is keeping their pantry shelves stocked,” commented Michael Cadden Troy, CEO and founder of Troy Container Line.  “Everyone at Troy wishes to share the spirit of the season and we make this contribution in hopes that it will make a small difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.”

Having celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2013, Lunch Break endeavors to provide food, clothing and fellowship to community members in need.    The non-profit organization serves more than 4,000 free meals a month at its Drs. James Parker Boulevard location and also makes deliveries to home-bound individuals.  Every month hundreds of families are helped with emergency food packages as well as clothing.

Troy Container Line’s pay-it-forward approach to holiday gifting aims to honor and thank customers via community outreach and support.  For more information about Troy Container Line, please visit www.TroyLines.com or call 1-800-331-0058.  To learn more about Lunch Break or to make a donation to the organization, please visit www.lunchbreak.org or call 732-747-8577.
