Troy Container Line Supports Lunch Break with 200 Meals & Hundreds of Gifts

Local NJ Shipping Company Celebrates The Season By Giving Back

RED BANK, NJ (Dec. 22, 2015)– Red Bank’s Lunch Break will receive a holiday boost this season thanks to Troy Container Line. The Red Bank-based shipping company, one of the largest American-owned NVOCCs, is continuing its holiday tradition this year with a monetary donation to Lunch Break, which will be used to provide more than 2,000 meals to the local community. In addition to donating meals in the name of their clients, employees and vendors, the Troy family has also donated funds for the purchase of more than 200 gifts to be distributed during the holiday season.

For more than 32 years Lunch Break has been, and continues to be, an asset to the entire community especially those in need. Having recently completed a major expansion, Lunch Break is experiencing one of their busiest holiday seasons yet. Having provided more than 4,000 free meals a month at the previous Drs. James Parker Boulevard location, in addition to making deliveries to home-bound individuals, Lunch Break continues to see an increase in services that are needed by the community. Every month hundreds of families are provided with food packages, clothing and fellowship as well as being offered an ongoing schedule of community resources.

“While their efforts never cease to amaze us, Lunch Break has experienced an unprecedented demand for their services in recent years. One of their ongoing challenges is meeting this need especially during the holiday season,” commented Michael Cadden Troy, CEO and founder of Troy Container Line. “We made this contribution in hopes that it will make a small difference in the lives of our neighbors in need, and support an organization that tirelessly helps our local community.”

Troy Container Line’s pay-it-forward tradition of holiday giving honors and thanks both employees and customers through community outreach and support.
