O expedidor ou seu agente autorizado deverá fornecer ao transportador exportador AES ITN ou legenda de isenção antes da exportação no porto programado onde a carga é carregada. O não fornecimento ao transportador do AES ITN ou legenda de isenção resultaria na incapacidade do transportador de carregar a carga no navio designado. Caso alguma carga seja embarcada sem o preenchimento obrigatório, uma multa de US$ 10.000 por Conhecimento de Embarque é avaliada pela U.S.. agência de recenseamento & Proteção de fronteira personalizada.

Mediterranean Shipping Company also informs their customers that Maher Terminal (Nova Iorque) has decided, with immediate effect, to implement a re-handling fee of $425/PC during normal working hours, and $550/PC during overtime hours.
